Back in 2012, EvE was epic... Many players, many backstabs, many fights, lots of random stuff... Now it has become a mechanical game where everything has a single purpose and you just need to play according to that. Many MMO's have come out since 2011-12 and most of them are successful. Even though EvE is "THE" oldest and the most content developed mmo out there, there seems to me something wrong... Personally speeking, it's the players causing the backfire. EvE is a player driven sandbox and what this means is that it's economy is very similar to real life economy... What this means is taht there will ALWAYS be inflation and money grind. Just like our ordinary jobs where we work most of the day and have a few hours at night to enjoy ourselves. It is quite say to know that withing those happy hours that we get every day, we must almost, always grind for isk wheter to fund out pvp (fun) addiction or simply our carebear ship and item collection... In order to repair this destructive nature of eve which is simply an electronic video game (and nothing else) CCP must do auite a bit of an oevrhaul... If CCP is happy with its current numbers and declining trend then they simply won't do anythig or just try to fool players with meaningless content such as Operation Frostline or stuff like that... But EvE players are too intelligent for that. I haven't really come accross any eve player that is actually stupid enough not to see at least a few of these facts... So my suggestion would be (As I have stated in the years passed):
-1- To completely remove the PLEX concept of the game and make it like WOW so CCP can fund its company vaults without the pressure of players that constantly grind to play the game free of charge. In return make isk making easy that players will not have to grind more that one hour a day to make 5-10 bil a month. If they prefer grinding 2, 3, 4 or even more hours they'll simply be making 50 bil a month and this will produce bling ship warfare and more fun because players will not be afraid of loosing a 1 bil boat because they can simply make it in one day or a few hours. I am not saying that players can't make that money now, but what I am saying is that it is hard to make that money if you haven't been playing for quite a while and you don't have the required investment to do so. Or CCP can simply impose a Universal Income policy where everyone is granted a basic 3 bil/month as income and on top players will have to just work to earn more.
* In relation to the point stated in topic 1 above, the subscription prices can be an average of what other mmo's impose and players with multiple accounts get discounts for secondi third, fourth etc. accounts respectively. For example the basic subscription can be 20 USD/month and the second account will be 15, the third 10 etc...
* Any serious player who plays this game will not be bothered with paying money on a monthly basis since it is what they like and what they do many many hours per week. Instead, it will create a diverse community with plenty of cash to do whatever they want so the eve community will grow just like wow's or guild wars 2's.
* The payers and CCP will be releaved of 'FREE GAMERS' who plex multiple accounts every month and cause a constant rise in plex prices and just play a superb game that takes a lot of money to maintain.
Of course these issues that I have mentioned require a serious overhaul and CCP, I think, is not willing to take such risks even though I think the outcome will be epic!
